HISTORY
In the middle ages, people believed wearing a sapphire dissolved negative thoughts. The name sapphire is derived from the Latin word "saphirus" and the Greek word "sapheiros", both meaning blue. In some religions, the blue colour of the sapphire is associated with the heaves and the stars.
